How it works…
I work from photographs when doing a commission. The photos do not need to be professionally done and actually having several photos can be very helpful. If you have a color palette in mind, I can work within that range. After looking over the photos, I create a sketch…the road map for the painting. At that point, I ask for a $150 deposit, and the painting process begins. In the video at the bottom of the page, you can see examples of how it all works.
If you have something in particular in mind (as far as what your pets are doing), I love to know that kind of stuff. People often go thru my albums on the fan page or my website for ideas, too. Since it’s a painting and not a photo, your animals can be doing anything from playing an instrument to sitting at a football game. Love creative ideas I get from my clients! And if you are stumped, I can help

(Below pricing is for one pet… for multiple pets in one painting, contact me, and I can give you a firm estimate). The estimates below also reflect a moderate amount of detail.
12 x 12, 12 x 16: $400

Commission Pricing for Mardi-Art Illustrations
Mardi-Art illustrations have a colorful and contemporary feel to them. The image size is roughly 6″ x 8″ or 7″ x 7″ (depending on the aspect ratio). They come in a white 11 x 14 mat. Pricing is $129 for non-commissioned (existing) and $199 for commissioned (custom) pieces. Check out my growing album of Mardi-Art on my facebook fan page HERE! Mini Mardi Art illustrations area also available for $99 and are approximately 4″ x 5″ or 5″ x 5″ depending on the aspect ratio (these have less detail than the full size mardi-art) and come in a white 8 x 10 mat.
Commission Pricing for PETites
If paintings are financially out of range, then PETites are a good alternative. They are custom color sketches that are roughly 5 x 5 and come in a white 8 x 10 mat ready for framing. These are $79. There is more info on PETites HERE. And the cool thing about PETites is that should you ever want to turn that sketch into a painting, $59 of what you spent on the PETite will be applied to the painting.
Commission Pricing for 4 x 4 Warm Fuzzies
Warm Fuzzies are a line of art that I am doing on acid-free colored papers. They are more realistic and have a soft impressionistic feel to them. The size is 4″ x 4″ and it comes in a white 8 x 10 mat ready for framing. Title and my sig are on the mat. Existing Warm Fuzzies are $79 and commissioned ones are $99.
